Rockingham County Regional Precincts
For many years, RCDP has held Annual Precinct Meetings as four "Clusters" of "Voting" Precincts, with each electing its own Officers. From our 15 "Voting Precincts", a possible total of 45 Precinct Officers, together with the County Executive Council (Board) Officers formed the County Executive Committee (CEC).
In 2019 the NCDP State Executive Committee (SEC) approved RCDP's request for an Alternative Plan of Precinct Organization that would allow us to form 3 "Cluster Precincts" comprised of 5 geographically contiguous "Voting Precincts", which will now be referred to as Eden Regional Precinct (Draper, Eden 1, Eden Central, Leaksville 2, & Lincoln), Reidsville Regional Precinct (Ironworks, McCoy, Moss Street, Rock Central, & Southeast), and Western Regional Precinct (Hogans, Huntsville, Matrimony, New Bethel, and Western). Each "Regional Precinct" will elect 5 Officers, one from each "Voting Precinct", to serve as CEC Members. Each Regional Precinct Executive Council (Board) shall be comprised of a Chair and Vice Chair elected from those 5 CEC Members. The Secretary/Treasurer may be one of the CEC Members, or elected as an additional, non-voting member of the Regional Precinct Board.
It is our hope that by streamlining our party, Volunteers from previously unorganized voting precincts will now have an official voice in the party, as well as an opportunity to serve in leadership positions. It is our intent that voting precincts should lend each other support so critical to building grassroots participation, and that our county party can become effective at information sharing and developing the "People Power" needed to get Democratic Candidates elected to office.

It is comprised of Draper, Eden-1, Eden Central, Leaksville-2, and Lincoln "voting" precincts.
